Inspired by the younger sibling of a playmate of my son, "Boy with a CD" emerged from an observation of his unique appearance. He possesses a powerfully intense gaze that directly engages the viewer. The design of his posture, clothing, the chair, and the CD he holds all intentionally disrupt the expected and perceived state of symmetry.
