The Commissions Process:

1. Consultation

As a client, you can be assured of confident communication with the artist, John Hansen. Loch Gallery will coordinate the approval process and all financial details.

2. Creating the Concept

The final portrait artwork will exemplify my representational style. Typically, the composition will feature a three-quarter length figure situated within an interior setting. A suitable and meaningful theme will be conveyed through the compositional structure, potentially incorporating symbolic and individualized elements.

3. Photography Sitting

To effectively realize the concept of the painting, a photography session will be conducted to document the necessary reference resources.

4. Portrait Fees

A standard commission payment procedure is typically followed. However, Loch Gallery can also create a customized expenses plan to meet your specific requirements. Please note that prices are subject to change and will vary depending on the size and complexity of the painting project.

5. Painting the Portrait

The utmost care will be taken to ensure the highest standards of sound craftsmanship are met while skillfully portraying the subject in oil paint on a wood panel. A portrait commission will be allotted the necessary time for completion, guided by both the realization of artistic expectations and the client's desire for a rewarding and exceptional artwork.
