Biography - Curriculum Vitae

John Hansen has worked over 30 years as a professional artist. He was born in 1957 in Edmonton, Alberta. He studied Fine Art at Ontario College of Art, Toronto, graduating in 1980. His final year was spent studing in Florence, Italy, along with travel to the many great museums of Europe. He began exhibiting at Gallery Moos in 1991 and later joined Nancy Poole's Studio Gallery in 1993. Nancy Poole's became Loch Gallery in 2003.

He has gained respect from his collectors, galleries, and his peers as one of Canada's foremost realist painters.

John Hansen has two grown children and lives in Toronto, Canada, with his wife, artist and designer, Jocelyn Ball-Hansen.

He is represented exclusively by Loch Gallery in Toronto, Winnipeg, and Calgary.
